Complete success in Lorient, France!

29. Sep 2025

Lorient/Brittany, Argo-Anleg was an active participant, exhibited at the BrittanHYday on 25.09.2025, took part in a refueling demonstration and a panel discussion with high-ranking representatives.

Organizers – included Bretagne Hydrogène Renouvelable and the Région Bretagne!

There are already many activities in Brittany, as the following map from 2021 impressively shows.

We’ll let the pictures speak for themselves from the event, packed with information and live demonstrations. Including from Argo-Anleg Managing Director Jan Andreas himself. In other words, he took the opportunity to give a live demonstration of the refueling of the K-Challenge boat in cooperation with the Fetis Group. Anleg will deliver a mobile refueling station to France in 2026. No more will be revealed here, the order has only just been signed. The demonstration was so successful that further inquiries were immediately accepted.

In addition to boat builders, representatives from port authorities and fire departments also showed great interest. Jan Andreas also had the honor of taking part in the panel discussion. Linguistically “no problem” for him, a home game.

The “beast” behind the safety fence. But it is harmless without suitable hydrogen refueling. That’s why we immediately provided an infrastructure with FETIS.

Experts at work!
Jan Andreas, Managing Director of Argo-Anleg GmbH, was always on hand to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
Excerpt from a press release by FÉTIS Group:
“Yesterday in Lorient, the Hydrogen Support Vessel (HSV) developed by K-Challenge Racing & Lab was successfully refueled with a mobile hydrogen station, with FÉTIS Group companies(SECO MARINE / SECOM ENGINEERING) ensuring system integration throughout the operation.

The demonstration combined technical depth with stakeholder involvement. On board, the HSV presented its configuration: two EODev REXH2 fuel cells of 80 kW each, fed by 32 kg of hydrogen stored at 350 bar in four Type IV tanks. The demonstration of the bunker validated the simultaneous refueling on both sides and thus confirmed the safety, efficiency and operational readiness.

Around forty representatives from industry and institutions took part in discussions throughout the day, which led to a live bunker sequence in front of guests, journalists and security teams.

This was more than a test, but collective proof that hydrogen bunkering for ships is technically feasible and ready for use.

This first-of-its-kind operation in Brittany demonstrates how collaboration between technology developers, system integrators and operators can accelerate the decarbonization of fleets and ports. ⚡”

An agreement was also signed that day….

On September 25, SECO MARINE (FÉTIS Group) and Green Navy (Vallair Group) signed an exclusive industrial partnership agreement during BrittanHy Day in Lorient.
The agreement was signed by Damien FETIS (FÉTIS Group), David Bartoletti (SECO MARINE), Grégoire LEBIGOT (Vallair Group) and Charles Cardi (Green Navy) and marks the joint commitment to accelerate the introduction of hydrogen in maritime transport.✍️

“Two years ago, I took over the management of the Green Navy and the BrittanHy Day in Saint-Brieuc was my first hydrogen event.v…
Then I discovered the regional ambitions around green hydrogen and got involved in the first restitution of studies on the use of this energy vector in the maritime sector.

And I can’t help but think today: “So much progress in such a short time”!

Because in Lorient, I saw nothing but smiles and a Bretagne Hydrogène Renouvelable revitalized, clear and resilient sector. …
Our partners FÉTIS Group and Argo-Anleg GmbH carried out the hydrogen refueling of the K-Challenge Racing & Lab…” – Quotes: Charles Cardi, CEO of Green Navy
