H2 valve technology from Argo-Anleg

Hydrogen can be used as a raw material, fuel or energy carrier and storage and offers numerous possible applications in industry, transport, energy supply and the building sector. However, the storage of highly compressed hydrogen places great demands on the individual system components, especially the necessary valves. The easily volatile hydrogen and the so-called “hydrogen embrittlement” are major technical challenges.

Nominal operating pressures of 300 to 750 bar and, with newer developments, even 1000 bar require maximum quality and engineering skills. For the hydrogen range, Argo-Anleg focuses on minimum size and weight while realising maximum functionality and the highest safety requirements.

LP GHU 15

Gas handling unit (GHU) for hydrogen gas, which operates in particular in the range from 3 bar to 15 bar. It combines several functions of a gas control line in a common housing. Integrated components are a filter in the overflow valve, an on/off solenoid valve and the pressure control and safety devices.

HP GHU 350

Gas Handling Unit (GHU) for hydrogen gas in the pressure range from 20 to 350 bar. This product integrates the following components in one central unit: pressure regulating valve, overpressure safety unit, temperature sensor, low-pressure measuring device, high-pressure measuring device.

HP GHU 700

Gas Handling Unit (GHU) for hydrogen gas in the pressure range from 40 to 700 bar. This product integrates the following components in one central unit: pressure regulating valve, overpressure safety unit, temperature sensor, low-pressure measuring device, high-pressure measuring device.

MOTV (MANUAL ON-TANK VALVE)

The manual cut-in valve is fitted to a high-pressure hydrogen tank. The valve measures the temperature of the gas inside the tank and has the function of safely releasing the gas from the tank at an outside temperature of 110 °C via a temperature pressure relief device (TPRD).

THERMAL-PRESSURE-RELIEF-DEVICE NON ROTATABLE

This thermal pressure relief device (TPRD) was developed to relieve tanks and containers in case of overheating. When the reaction temperature is reached, a glass ampoule is destroyed so that the hydrogen can escape from the tank via a safety vent.

THERMAL-PRESSURE-RELIEF-DEVICE ROTATABLE

This thermal pressure relief device (TPRD) was developed to relieve tanks and containers in case of overheating. When the reaction temperature is reached, a glass ampoule is destroyed so that the hydrogen can escape from the tank via a safety vent. The special feature of this TPRD is its rotatable installation option.
